The Chatham from Comitti London, master clock makers since 1850 is a wonderful reproduction of a Simon Willard tall clock which was made in Roxbury in the English Colonial style, circa 1790. Extensive use of chequered edgeline and corner inlays enhances the wonderful flame mahogany veneers. The break arch pediment is decorated with pierced and blind fretwork, with the clock standing on ogee feet and featuring fluted quarter columns to the trunk and corinthian pillars to the hood. The hood is removable to allow for movement adjustment, while the cabinet is hand rubbed and waxed to achieve an unmistakably luxurious antique patina. Features a triple chime 8 day cable movement playing the traditional Westminster, Whittington and St. Michaels melodies. Automatic night silencer, chime sequence and beat correction. Completed with mineral glasses and lacquered solid brass furniture. Production is limited to 50 pieces annually and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
